Think Purple Together

NEXT DATES   Sunday 15th March 2026

workshops runs from 11 to 2pm NSW time, but it may take longer or shorter depending on what you decide to paint together.

A special workshop for you and your child xxx
Without doubt the best thing that has come out of opening up THINK PURPLE, is the connection and unique bond I have created with my 15 year old daughter Winny.
We spend so much quality time together messing about with all kinds of art. whether it be craft, sewing, crochet or painting and drawing.
I am so blessed to be able to spend this time with her.
It has also been a time when i have been able to truly connect with her and talk about anything that might be happening in her life that she may need to get off her chest.
So I would like to invite anyone who would love to spend some one on one time with their most precious person, in a loving and creative environment. it doesn’t matter how old your kids are whether they are 6 or 16 i can guarantee they will love doing this with you!!!! and although i have stated daughter it does apply to mum and son or dad and son/daughter too. !
I know that my daughter has always loved it when i spent time messing about with arts and crafts with her. it’s always been such a nurturing and special bonding time with each other. And we get to share so many things with each other.
So here is what We do at these workshops
The best times we have had together in the studio, are the times we have spent creating a big abstract canvas art paintings together.
So how about it?
Would you love to come and play at the studio , with your child while painting a large box canvas together?
This isn’t just for the mums i have had Dads creating amazing memories with their sons and daughters and i have also had grandparents with grand kids and aunties/uncles with nieces and nephews. the combinations go on and on lol
it can be as abstract as you like or maybe you can bring along a picture of what you would like to paint together. (now remember we need to let go of the control lol and let splashes and paint strokes happen at will.)
I will guide you in all aspects of the painting process,
All materials will be supplied including gesso, paints, brushes and other art mediums that may be required.
this workshops run at the studio at shop 3/2 Blundell boulevard south tweed
Cost is $155 for 2 (adult and child) includes all materials, large canvas , paints and refreshment

Cash payment is preferable .

Hi I’m Alisa. I am 18 years old and recently graduated from Banora Point High School. I am currently working at a local cafe until I figure out what path I want to take career wise.

I’m always dreaming about fashion so in my spare time I’m thrifting for some unique pieces to rework and add to my overflowing wardrobe. DIYing accessories and jewellery are another one of my hobbies – my latest project being the rings made of spoons that I have now decorated my hands with.

During High School, Kay’s art space was my comfort zone – I am hoping that I can recreate that same safe space for the youth of our community. To guide them through the same journey I just went through and be like an older sister to them haha. I was lucky enough to have a few mentor type figures like Kay but didn’t really have someone around my age that were outside my close circle of friends and family that I could express my feelings too.

In a nutshell, that’s what I hope to offer here – to lend an ear, have a chat, listen to some good music and make some cool art.

Hello, My name is Bindi

I have had two years of experience alongside Kay. This has refined and developed my teaching and wellbeing support skills.
Seeing the young ones flourish in their own creative ways has been a blessing I did not know could happen at my age. Art has always been a part of my life and my passion is to help others achieve their visions while also supporting and mentoring them with honesty and love.

My goal is to hold a space for others to be themselves and to help young people find their inner fulfilment in life. For some, Art is the catalyst for doing so and my part is to listen and support them.

I have been working as a support person for over a year which has been such a pleasure.

It’s incredible to explore their inspiring ideas and see their creative growth.
I look forward to meeting and connecting with new people and of course making art!
