$40 per session or $150 for a block of 4 sessions

For absolute beginners, and adults just wanting to start back up with a creative endeavour after a long break from it all.

These classes are aimed at adults of all ages, who I meet on a daily basis that look at me with fear when I suggest they come and play with pencils and paints, but in their hearts KNOW they would love to have a go. I hold morning self-expressive art classes for any adult who would love to find an unpretentious, relaxing and nonthreatening, space to have fun with all different kinds of art mediums. I will take you back to basics and work on simple easy things that help unlock the right hand creative side of our brains. I will gentle guide you into using different art materials and mediums and work with you at your level and take you wherever you would like to go with the creative process.

Those who attend these sessions not only learn great new techniques to expand their creative work and endeavours but learn new ways to promote their mental health and well being. it is a space to build on positive emotions and resilience while following their intuition and learning to trust that they have all that they need within them to build a life of ease and flow. A place where they can gain greater self mastery and self awareness and insight through the many different art mediums on offer. The desire is that anyone that leaves feels a whole lot happier than when you arrived and leave with a skip in your walk and a smile on your face bigger and wider.

All materials are there for you to use apart from box canvas  if needed and I also ask you supply your own gel mediums and impasto textures for the acrylic painting sessions. but brushes and tools and paints are available for use.

Spaces in each class are limited. It is a requirement that anyone who wishes to attend messages me  by 9 am on the same morning they wish to attend.

Intuitive Painting Class

Tuesday Morning 10.30 to 12.30 NSW

$40 a session or $150 for a block of 4 sessions

Spend a couple of hours in a state of active meditation as you practise the art of mindfulness through expressing your inner thoughts and feelings . Painting with many layers of glorious colourful paint and collage.

Return to your lost world of childish abandonment, playfulness and freedom as you tap into your higher faculty of  imagination.

Intuitive painting helps you to let go of perfectionism and judgement, it is a unique and creative spontaneous process that gives you the opportunity to explore your inner knowing. All within the safe and unpretentious surroundings of Think Purple Hartspace.

There are no great techniques needed just a willingness and eagerness to explore mixing paint and using a myriad of art materials such as brushes sponges and palette knives.

While standing at an easel , listening to  soulful and ambient tunes you will slip into a state of mindfulness and quiet, whereby you will be able to clearly hear the messages of your soul as they are channeled down into your artwork.

Intuitive art works on a subconscious level and allows you to express yourself in a non verbal way , releasing ant negative emotions that come up and allowing you to make sense of and build upon your self-awareness and resilience.

Hi I’m Alisa. I am 18 years old and recently graduated from Banora Point High School. I am currently working at a local cafe until I figure out what path I want to take career wise.

I’m always dreaming about fashion so in my spare time I’m thrifting for some unique pieces to rework and add to my overflowing wardrobe. DIYing accessories and jewellery are another one of my hobbies – my latest project being the rings made of spoons that I have now decorated my hands with.

During High School, Kay’s art space was my comfort zone – I am hoping that I can recreate that same safe space for the youth of our community. To guide them through the same journey I just went through and be like an older sister to them haha. I was lucky enough to have a few mentor type figures like Kay but didn’t really have someone around my age that were outside my close circle of friends and family that I could express my feelings too.

In a nutshell, that’s what I hope to offer here – to lend an ear, have a chat, listen to some good music and make some cool art.

Hello everyone, my name is Bindi :)

I am 18 years old and have just finished high school at Banora.

Art has always been a part of my life and sharing the love I have for creating with young adults is both an unbelievable opportunity and a great enjoyment.

The reason why I am here is to hopefully be a person that my younger self needed, and with a space like think purple and the inspiring kay helping me I am more than excited to get creative

A little bit about myself is that I used to competitively swim and was lucky enough to compete and medal at nationals. But now over a year has passed since I stopped due to the loss of passion.

I found with swimming that it has taught me lessons that I’ll cherish forever, and even when I stopped swimming that was probably the greatest lesson of all.

Right now I still have no clue on what path I want to go down, but I know for sure I love talking and connecting with young people (probably because I am giant kid myself) and creating art.

Kindest regards Bindi xox
