Think Purple Kids Club

NEXT DATE to be announced

running time 10am to 12pm

Art clubs for arty kids aged 6 to 11 who love to get messy with paint, glitter and glue, have fun making new friends and come away with new artistic skills and  a  feeling of  happiness, joy and a positive mindset of thinking purple!

BE WARNED WE HAVE A LOT OF GIGGLES

These very popular clubs are held on a  Saturday morning and attended once a month per child. There are 2 clubs a month so you can choose which date best suits you.

These art clubs are run as art and friendships clubs, all based around fun and creativity. These clubs are extremely popular for both girls and boys.

For a full 2 hours once a month the kids work on a huge range of different activities and craft, they are taught a large range of artistic skills using all manner of art medium. These kids clubs are all about the kids exploring what they want to do INDIVIDUALLY, as well as group activities. I nurture these concepts and as I get to know the kids, I recognise where each child’s skill level lies and i will to be able to gently guide them in the right direction. These clubs are inclusive and encouraging and really suit kids that want to feel like part of a team outside of the typical sporting arena.

These clubs help build great self- confidence and self-expression especially amongst the quieter, gentler, clever and more introverted souls. They are taught to think outside the box and problem solve in a loving and nurturing way while giving them the freedom to be and do what they desire….

Clubs include refreshments and morning tea

  • Saturday: 2  hrs
  • $55 per child
  • payment is required at time of booking (please note tickets are non refundable but credit will be offered for the next art club)

clubs run for 2  hours and includes all art materials and  refreshments. bookings are essential as I keep the clubs to  a maximum of 12 kids so proper time can be given to each child.  If your child can’t make the  first art club then they may be able to make the second club so at least once a month they get that ‘extremely’ important time with their creativity.

ART is IMPORTANT and needs to be put as a priority in your child’s life. If they don’t get to use their imaginations and their right hand brains in this way then their lives will be out of balance and anxiety and fears can creep in. We have a lot of fun and laughter and the kids really get to explore their own ideas. I believe in empowerment and positive self talk and implement a lot of my art therapy techniques within my studio environment.

Hi I’m Alisa. I am 18 years old and recently graduated from Banora Point High School. I am currently working at a local cafe until I figure out what path I want to take career wise.

I’m always dreaming about fashion so in my spare time I’m thrifting for some unique pieces to rework and add to my overflowing wardrobe. DIYing accessories and jewellery are another one of my hobbies – my latest project being the rings made of spoons that I have now decorated my hands with.

During High School, Kay’s art space was my comfort zone – I am hoping that I can recreate that same safe space for the youth of our community. To guide them through the same journey I just went through and be like an older sister to them haha. I was lucky enough to have a few mentor type figures like Kay but didn’t really have someone around my age that were outside my close circle of friends and family that I could express my feelings too.

In a nutshell, that’s what I hope to offer here – to lend an ear, have a chat, listen to some good music and make some cool art.

Hello, My name is Bindi

I have had two years of experience alongside Kay. This has refined and developed my teaching and wellbeing support skills.
Seeing the young ones flourish in their own creative ways has been a blessing I did not know could happen at my age. Art has always been a part of my life and my passion is to help others achieve their visions while also supporting and mentoring them with honesty and love.

My goal is to hold a space for others to be themselves and to help young people find their inner fulfilment in life. For some, Art is the catalyst for doing so and my part is to listen and support them.

I have been working as a support person for over a year which has been such a pleasure.

It’s incredible to explore their inspiring ideas and see their creative growth.
I look forward to meeting and connecting with new people and of course making art!
